Happy Super Bowl Monday!!
I watched more football than I have all year yesterday
About 2 qtrs worth
And it was a fun game to watch, along with what I thought an entertaining half-time show.
But apparently I don’t keep up on my Justin Timberlake gossip enough
Before I went to bed last night I was clearing notifications on my phone when I noticed social media had their panties in a bunch over JT’s performance
My initial thought was there is always someone who thought the performer could have done better or that they lip sync’d something, whatever.
But then I saw multiple articles, posts, tweets etc about JT’s disrespect of Prince during the show. I didn’t get it. (if you didn’t watch he did a duet with Prince via computer generation image)
So, I went to bed
Only to wake and more people were talking about it.
Most with the comments
“Prince didn’t even like JT and he shouldn’t have done what he did blah blah blah!”
I added the blah part bc I tuned out at that point.
I will no longer look into the feud between the two I am over it and don’t care.
I do however find it interesting and fascinating that so many people are passionate about it though.
Which brings me back to a piece of what I talked about in last weeks email.
If you want to save time
If you want to avoid the time vampires who suck away at your life
Keep your mind on what you can control
I am pretty sure that JT didn’t become the global superstar that he is by giving any thought to those who don’t like him or his music
Then, you have a number of people, who aren’t related, commenting on Prince’s feelings towards JT is astounding. They don’t really know what he thought and no one ever will bc he is dead.
Social media has become this generations easiest to acquire drug of sedation
Get into a keyboard war with people across the world on shit that you have no real insight on or control over.
Quit worrying about what JT is doing and focus on the facts of your own life.
Slow down your thoughts
Slow down your typing
Pay attention to your own house
Put your effort and energy into what you can control, YOU and YOUR business
If you play in the mud with the pigs, 3 things are guaranteed
1. you will get muddy
2. pigs love getting muddy
3. you will always lose bc the pigs got you muddy
